The awarding ceremony for the 19th Special Book Award of China, the highest award that honors foreigners in the publishing sector, was held in Beijing on June 16, recognizing the outstanding contributions of 15 writers, translators, and publishers from 12 countries.

Among them are some who have close cooperation with Phoenix Publishing and Media Group and its subsidiaries, such as Jiangsu People's Publishing House, Phoenix Fine Arts Publishing, and Yilin Press, and have contributed to its global outreach.

Phoenix Media has established itself as a leader in bringing Chinese culture to the global stage through its robust international network and high-quality content.

Among the honorees, Martin Savery, editor-in-chief and senior editorial consultant at Alain Charles Publishing from the United Kingdom, and Christophe Rrobyn, editorial director of Sinomedia International Group Inc from the United States, have been instrumental in expanding the reach of Chinese literature in Europe and North America.

Monastyrskiy Alexey translates the books published by Phoenix Media into Russian.

Savery has facilitated the entry of Chinese literary works published by Phoenix Media into the UK and Europe, while Rrobyn has supported the integration of Phoenix Media's publications into mainstream American distribution channels.

In the realm of translation, Russian translator Monastyrskiy Alexey has been pivotal in introducing significant Chinese works to a Russian audience. His collaborations with Yilin Press have enhanced cultural exchange between China and Russia.

Academic contributors like Edward L. Shaughnessy and Dagmar Schafer have also been recognized for their scholarly efforts in interpreting and disseminating Chinese historical and technological knowledge internationally.
