Eight book publishing institutions under Phoenix Publishing and Media Group have been selected for the list of the Top 100 Chinese Publishers with Overseas Library Collection Influence, according to the 2026 Chinese Book Overseas Library Collection Influence Research Report released in Beijing on June 17.
Notably, Phoenix Literature and Art Publishing maintained its impressive third-place ranking with a collection of 399 titles, making it the leading local publisher in China. Its original novels have garnered widespread attention.
Other publishing houses under Phoenix Media also achieved remarkable standings. The Jiangsu People's Publishing House entered the top 30 for the first time with a collection of 81 titles, ranking 30th. Phoenix Science Press ranked 38th with a collection of 59 titles. Phoenix Juvenile and Children's Publishing saw a significant leap, climbing 34 places to rank 48th with a collection of 47 titles. Yilin Press ranked 41st with a collection of 54 titles, Phoenix Books ranked 55th with a collection of 38 titles, Phoenix Fine Arts Publishing ranked 58th with a collection of 35 titles, and Phoenix Education Publishing ranked 90th with a collection of three titles.
The research report, jointly initiated by the China Publishing and Media Journal and Beijing Foreign Studies University, has been released for 15 consecutive editions as of 2026. This report, based on the bibliographic data of Chinese mainland publishing institutions collected by the world library system, tracks the global circulation of Chinese publications and has been positively received by the industry, academia, and relevant publishing regulatory authorities.
