Yangtze River Cultural Context Series project is launched in Nanjing on Nov 21.
The Yangtze River Cultural Context Series project was officially launched at the 2025 Yangtze Culture Forum in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, on Nov 21.
A history of the Yangtze River is half of the history of China. Yangtze River culture carries the collective memory of the Chinese nation, passing down the millennia-old cultural context from the mountains and waters of Chongqing and Sichuan to the water towns of Jiangnan.
Phoenix Publishing and Media Group will organize a team of top Chinese experts to comprehensively sort out the temporal and spatial context of Yangtze River culture development. It will connect the seven major cultural regions of Qiang-Zang, Bashu, Yunnan-Guizhou, Jingchu, Huxiang, Gan-Wan, and Wuyue, comprehensively reflecting the development, changes, integration, and profound influence of the Yangtze River cultural context.

Books of the National Cultural Park Illustrated Series are showcased at the launch ceremony.
In addition to publishing a series of books, the project will simultaneously build the Yangtze River Cultural Knowledge Service Platform and organize Yangtze River-themed cultural activities, aiming to construct a new publishing ecosystem.
As a key cultural enterprise and a leading publishing company in China, PPMG remains committed to social responsibility and preserving cultural heritage, taking the promotion of Chinese culture as one of its primary duties.
