The 2025 China Literature Gala: Children's Literature Award Night took place in Changsha, Hunan province, on Nov 20 with writers from Phoenix Publishing and Media Group participating.
The gala featured three magical journeys through books, connecting a century of children's literature classics, picture books, and chapters from Chinese language textbooks. By combining virtual and real-world technologies, it showcased cross-dimensional interactions among creators, readers, and characters.

Jin Bo, children's literature writer, hosted a special reading session. Qi Zhi, author of the children's novel Fang Yihe, Run Fast, received the Novel Award at the 12th National Outstanding Children's Literature Award. He shared the story behind the book, about an eight-year-old girl who loves to run. Cao Wenxuan, the first Chinese recipient of the Hans Christian Andersen Award, said he hopes Chinese children's literature will spread around the world.
