Yuan Nan, vice-president of Phoenix Media, signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with Arnold Berger, CEO of Switzerland-based Peter Lang Group AG, during the 31st Beijing International Book Fair, which took place from June 18 to 22.
Phoenix academic publishing translated makes a sub-brand of China's publishing giant's initiatives to offer to the international reading communities its first-hand authoritative knowledge about China. This commitment finds it's expression with joint efforts with Phoenix partnerships with key academic publishers like Taylor and Francis and Springer Nature. The signing of memorandum of understanding for co-publishing between Phoenix and Peter Lang Group AG, with the aim to further strengthen the existing strategic relationship, is a new milestone for China's largest publishing group's international programs.
Arnold Berger was awarded the 18th Chinese Book Special Contribution Award at the book fair. Nearly 20 cooperative publishing projects between Peter Lang Group and Phoenix Media have been promoted, involving English, French, German, and Spanish languages. Among them, the English version of Lectures on Traditional Chinese Political Culture and the English academic version of The Way of Calligraphy were published in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
