As a grand tribute to the 80th anniversary of victory in the Chinese people's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, the epic Unbreakable Words made its debut at this year's Beijing International Book Fair on June 19.

Unbreakable Words, created by Zhang Xinke over eight years, tells the tumultuous story of how South Korean independence movement leader Kim Koo and members of the provisional government of South Korea jointly resisted Japanese aggression in the 1930s and 1940s, with the support of the Chinese people. Zhang visited various historical sites in China and South Korea, crafting a novel of over 500,000 words, aiming to recreate that turbulent and stirring period.

Qiu Guohong, former Chinese Ambassador to South Korea, said, "The publication of Unbreakable Words in such an important year is significant in itself and will surely attract attention and admiration from readers in China, South Korea, and around the world."

President of South Korea's Daebak Press Media stated, "Unbreakable Words is the first monumental work depicting the joint efforts of the Chinese and South Korean people in resisting foreign aggression. We are very eager to collaborate with Phoenix Literature and Art Publishing to introduce Zhang's work to South Korea and promote it globally."
