This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, and Phoenix Juvenile and Children's Publishing Ltd has partnered with publishing houses in countries involved in the BRI to publish Chinese books.

The copyright of the "Beautiful New Era" series, which was published by Phoenix Juvenile and Children's Publishing Ltd, was recently exported to Sri Lanka and Cambodia. The series will be published by Sri Lanka's Neptune Publications Ltd and Cambodia's Khmer Press.

Dinesh Kulatunga, head of Neptune Publications Ltd, reads the "Beautiful New Era" series at the Beijing International Book Fair in June.

The series includes four books, which use nearly 1,000 high-resolution photos to showcase China's achievements in environmental protection and restoration, biodiversity protection, coastal and marine ecosystem conservation, and smart energy development.

Speaking of why he bought the copyright, Dinesh Kulatunga, head of Neptune Publications Ltd, said that he loves the books very much and that both adults and children should read them.

He added that these books will teach people why Chinese people attach so much importance to the natural environment.

Children share their thoughts on the "Beautiful New Era" series.

Cao Yunde, head of Khmer Press, believes that Cambodia possesses unique natural resources and thinks that ecological conservation will help protect and use these resources in sustainable ways.

The purpose of the books is to explain important topics such as protecting environmental resources, promoting economic development, improving people's lives, and advancing international cooperation, from the perspective of a child, Cao noted.

He also said that the vivid plots and cute characters make it easy for readers to understand the importance of environmental conservation and how to take action to protect and improve the environment in their daily lives. They also help children develop a sense of responsibility to protect the environment.
