'Selected Readings on Chinese Civilization' to be published in different languages

Selected Readings on Chinese Civilization is expected to be published in Hindi, Spanish, Mongolian, Malay, and Thai, according to an announcement at a signing ceremony held at the 29th Beijing International Book Fair in Beijing on June 15.
With Professor Liu Dong at the Tsinghua Academy of Chinese Learning as the editor-in-chief, the book comprehensively showcases Chinese civilization. Sixty top cultural scholars and historians in China were invited to write articles for the book to interpret Chinese civilization in terms of beliefs, philosophy, society, technology, art, and folk customs.
The book was published by Yilin Press, a subsidiary of publishing giant Phoenix Publishing and Media Group, in 2009. Vietnamese, Korean, and English versions have been published so far.
