Critics of the Year.

Winners of the first Phoenix Book Review Awards were announced at the fourth Phoenix Writer Annual Conference, which was held in Nanjing on March 17.

Ding Fan and Liu Qing were named Critics of the Year. Rong Xiniang, He Ping, and Pan Kaixiong were honored as Book Reviewers of the Year. The Book Review Work of the Year Award was given to 10 articles, including From Beginning of Life and the Stylistic Dignity of Novels.

The Phoenix Book Review Awards are sponsored by Phoenix Publishing and Media Group and organized by Modern Express, Journal of Literature and Art, and China Book Review. Nominations for the first Phoenix Book Review Awards commenced in February 2022.

The awards highlight the professionalism and persuasion of literary review and are dedicated to promoting creative critical discourse and a book review writing style in China.

The second Phoenix Book Review Awards are launched during the fourth Phoenix Writer Annual Conference.

Both the Phoenix Book Review Awards and the Phoenix Literature Prize are important honors bestowed by PPMG to integrate literature creation and criticism.
