Gu Yuehua, deputy director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, visited Phoenix Xinhua Printing, a printing and distribution base of Phoenix Publishing and Media Group, on Aug 10 before primary and secondary school students go back to school in September.
PPMG has completed the task of distributing textbooks to every student in Jiangsu before the new semester begins for 43 consecutive years.
Due to the delayed date of printing fall semester textbooks this year, printing and packing time was reduced from about four months to just over one month.
Gu Yuehua, deputy director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, visits the Phoenix Xinhua Printing.
With careful arrangements and efficient coordination, PPMG has been sparing no effort to ensure 145 million textbooks and 27 million reference books will be delivered to Jiangsu students before Sept 15.
Gu said that PPMG employees have worked hard for Jiangsu's educational undertakings, especially front-line employees.
She noted that students, teachers and parents are encouraged to visit Phoenix Xinhua Printing to experience the hard work of printing, packing, and delivering textbooks and learn about spirit of craftsmanship from employees at Phoenix Xinhua Printing.
Sun Zhenfu, chairman of PPMG, thanked the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education for its support, saying that the group will go all out to ensure the task will be completed successfully.
