Experts in children's literature discuss the international publishing of Chinese children's literature during the London Book Fair 2022.
Experts on children's literature were invited to discuss the international publishing of Chinese children's literature on April 5 during the London Book Fair 2022.
Helen Wang, a translator of children's literature and sinologist, said that children's literature and picture books easily strike a chord between youngsters in China and the United Kingdom.
Wang added that she has interviewed many Chinese writers and translators from the UK, including Huang Beijia, author of I Want To Be Good, and the translator Nicky Harman, to help international readers learn more about the stories behind the creations.
The English version of I Want To Be Good published by Phoenix Media is on display at the London Book Fair 2022.
Marianne Simon, who studies at London-based Kingston University, spoke highly of Bronze and Sunflower, published by Phoenix Media, saying that both children and adults can learn a lot from the piece of children's literature.
The London Book Fair 2022 was held from April 5 to 7 and attended by more than 20,000 exhibitors. Phoenix Media displayed over 230 different kinds of books both online and offline at the book fair.
