The Chinese version of Symbols of Jiangsu 7.

The Chinese version of Symbols of Jiangsu 7 was published during the 28th Beijing International Book Fair, which was held from Sept 14 to 18 in Beijing.

Published by Phoenix Fine Arts Publishing Ltd, the series includes seven books on the fine-tooth comb in Changzhou, Former residence of Gan Xi, Zhanyuan Garden, Nanjing Museum, and Qinhuai River in Nanjing, banyao kites in Nantong, and Slender West Lake in Yangzhou.

Since the publication of the series in 2014, it has been promoted at the London Book Fair many times and an increasing number of foreign readers are learning about the history and culture of Jiangsu province.

David Edwards-May, author of the English version of Great Canal and co-founder and president of the Inland Waterways International, expresses his love for the book series and hails the publication of the latest series via video at the launch ceremony.

During the launch ceremony, authors and translators of previous and upcoming book in the series hailed the publication of the latest series.

Chen Min, head of Phoenix Fine Arts Publishing Ltd, introduced the series to online participants at the ceremony, saying that authors of the series are experts from various fields and translators of the English versions are sinologists or experts in relevant fields.

Therefore, both the Chinese and English versions of books in the series are authoritative, he said.
