One of two special editions of Van Gogh: The Life by Yilin Press.

Yilin Press, a subsidiary of Phoenix Publishing and Media Inc (PPM), recently published two special editions of Van Gogh: The Life to pay tribute to Van Gogh, and more than 1,000 books have been presold within five days.

Six years ago, Yilin Press published the biography's Chinese version to mark the 125th anniversary of Van Gogh's death.

The authors, Steven Naifeh and Gregory White Smith, took 10 years to finish the nearly 1,000-page book based on archives and academic research from the Van Gogh Museum and thousands of letters and literature.

The biography also includes nearly 200 examples of Van Gogh's paintings and other rare pictures that have never been published before.
