Jiangsu culture encyclopedia unveils latest publications

The latest publications from Jiangsu Cultural Books, an encyclopedia of Jiangsu culture project, are unveiled in Nanjing.

The latest publications from Jiangsu Cultural Books, a decade-long encyclopedia of Jiangsu culture project, were unveiled at the opening ceremony of a seminar which was held in Nanjing, capital of East China's Jiangsu province, on Dec 27-29, 2020.

The latest publications include 217 titles. In 2016, the province decided to spend around 10 years for Jiangsu Cultural Books to publish 3,000 books on the subject and 487 titles have been released to date.

More than 70 experts and scholars were invited to the seminar including representatives from Peking University, Fudan University, the Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House, Yuelu Press and other universities, libraries and publishing houses.

Eight experts delivered speeches during the seminar. These covered the compilation and publication of local historical documents. They voiced their opinions on strengthening cooperation among academic circles, publishing houses and libraries and on how best to popularize classical works.
