PPMG unveils 'Golden Phoenix' Medal winners

The "Golden Phoenix" Medal winners were unveiled at the 2020 Phoenix Authors Annual Conference, which was held in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu, on Oct 23.

Qian was among the first Chinese people to earn a doctorate in world history and has since cultivated many elite hitorians.

Over the past 30 years of cooperation with Jiangsu People's Publishing Ltd, a subsidiary of Phoenix Publishing & Media Group (PPMG), Qian has published a dazzling array of books, including The Course of World Modernization, which have been well-received at home and abroad.

In his acceptance speech, Qian spoke highly of efforts made by PPMG over the past 30 years and said he expected more cooperation with PPMG in the future.

Yang Jiujun

Yang is a renowned educator who has played an active role in reforming Chinese teaching at senior high schools for nearly 20 years. The Chinese language teaching materials edited by him are widely used in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Shanxi, and Anhui provinces.

In Yang's eyes, it is the broad vision, strong foundation, and considerate services that make PPMG a formidable publisher of textbooks for primary and secondary schools in China.

Huang Beijia

Huang is good at depicting the vivid worlds in the minds of children and her 61 books have been published in 12 countries, including I Want to Be a Good Kid and You Are My Baby.

Her works have also earned her more than 10 awards, including the Chinese Government Award for Printing and the National Excellent Children's Literature Prize.

Huang has cooperated with PPMG for 45 years and will continue this cooperation in the future.

Mo Lifeng

Mo has cooperated with PPMG for more than 30 years, during which time he has written a large number of books about literature and popular reading material.

In 2019, PPMG's Jiangsu Phoenix Fine Arts Publishing Ltd published Mo Lifeng Interprets Poems from the Tang Dynasty, which was well-received by readers and rated as a Good Chinese Book in 2019 by the Chinese Book Review Society and China's State broadcaster CCTV.
