The "China Competitiveness" book series is set to be published in Arabic, Russian, Bulgarian, and Turkish.
The "China Competitiveness" book series will be published in Arabic, Russian, Bulgarian, and Turkish, according to a signing ceremony held at the Nanjing venue of the Smart Beijing International Book Fair on Sept 28.
The foreign language versions of "China Competitiveness" are expected to increase the world's understanding of infrastructure construction in China.
The book series includes five books, namely, China High-speed Railway, China Tunnel, China Shield, China Bridge, and China Subway, which showcase the development of China's scientific research and technological development over the past 10 years by examining a number of different projects.
The Chinese version was published by Yilin Press, a subsidiary company of Phoenix Publishing & Media Inc. (Phoenix Media).
The four publishers of the four foreign language versions are important publishers in countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Xu Hai, editor-in-chief of Phoenix Media, believes that such books should emphasize the strengths of Chinese design in order to change common stereotypes about Chinese products and improve public opinion.
