A delegation from Phoenix Science Press visits Western Sydney University on Nov 11.

Phoenix Science Press, the academic publishing arm of Phoenix Media, and Western Sydney University will team up to publish traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) teaching materials, according to a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed on Nov 11.

The two parties agreed to work together for a series of English TCM teaching materials. The publications will be simultaneously released in China and Australia and then promoted to the rest of the world.

The "TCM International Communication Platform", which is currently being developed by Phoenix Science Press, will share its media resources with Western Sydney University and may import the university's TCM teaching materials as online courses for paid users. The profits will be shared.

The two parties are also looking to expand cooperation in project design and journal content focusing on elderly care and nursing, as Western Sydney University boasts the best nursing program in Australia (the fourth best in the world).

The two sides are also considering publishing materials in the fields of literature translation and agriculture, both of which are top majors at the university.

Projects involved in the MOU will be launched as soon as possible and are expected to start operation in 2020.

Western Sydney University offers over 10 scholarship programs for Australian students to study at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. Its School of Science and Health recruits many seasoned professors with over 15 years of Chinese teaching experience.
