Helga Zepp-LaRouche, founder of the international Schiller Institute and Chairman of its Board of Directors in the United States, visited Phoenix Publishing and Media Group (PPMG) in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, from May 18 to 19.
She Jiangtao, president of Phoenix Publishing and Media Inc (PPM), a main branch of PPMG, welcomed LaRouche and recalled the two sides' cooperative results. He appreciated the scholar's dedication to promoting cultural exchanges between China and Germany, and shared with her some PPM prints on German literature, arts and social sciences.
LaRouche has been calling for the building of a world land-bridge in recent years. She is an active supporter of China's Belt and Road Initiative, saying the strategy will promote the joint development of all nations and hence uproot regional and racial conflicts.
The Schiller Institute, headquartered in Germany and the United States, is devoted to studying international politics and economy. It aims to seek a modern interpretation of the German poet and philosopher Schiller's thoughts on global politics.
