PPMG enhances presence in Germany, France

Accelerating the implementation of PPMG's "going global" strategy

At the Frankfurt Book Fair, the PPMG delegation met with experts in the publishing sector, including Thomas Minkus, vice president of the fair, Helga Zepp-LaRouche, founder of the Schiller Institute, a global political and economic think tank with headquarters in Germany and the United States, Mikolaj Malaczynski, CEO of Legimi, one of the most innovative companies on Polish book market, and Hasri Hasan, president of the Indian GBD Books.

They exchanged ideas on issues such as copyright export, co-publishing, digital publishing and joint construction of an international cooperation center.

Conducting business and cultural exchanges

On Oct 13, the delegation paid a visit to PPMG's business partner and supplier —Heidelberger Druckmaschinen Aktiengesellschaft, a Heidelberg-based company engaged in the printing industry and boasting 250 production sites in 170 countries around the globe.

The delegation was briefed on the development of the company, its innovative "Push to Stop" concept and prediction of the development trend and the future of the printing industry. The two sides also discussed the possibilities of enhancing cooperation.

On Oct 15, the delegation toured the Chinese Culture Center in Paris, France, which serves as an important window for French to learn about China with the frequent cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Yan Zhenquan, head of the center introduced the development of the center to the delegation. The delegates from PPMG held a discussion with the center on the launch of the "PPMG Bookshelf" program, which facilitate more literature promotional activities of works by Chinese writers.
