House of Phoenix holds London book club event
Wharf Bookshop at the House of Phoenix in London held its first readers club activity on July 24.
Located in Greenwich, it is the largest Chinese bookshop in the United Kingdom.
Served with Phoenix's own branded wine and Chinese tea, the activity attracted more than 100 Chinese and British guests. A recital of Chinese literature was also held at the event.
A Chinese guest said that the relaxed environment of the bookstore, as well as the wealth of interesting books provides a slice of home in the middle of London.
Many of the British guests were interested in the English titles on Chinese culture and were excited about the future learning opportunities and cultural experiences the bookstore offers.
