Chinese version of 'History of Human Civilization' makes world debut in London
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and Phoenix Publishing and Media Inc (PPM) jointly held a launch ceremony for the Chinese version of History of Human Civilization at the London Book Fair on April 11.
The event was attended by guests from the UK and China, including Ms. Jacks Thomas, director of London Book Fair, Mr. Ian Denison, chief of the UNESCO Publications Unit, Ms. Ma Lei, counselor of Chinese Embassy to the UK and Mr. Liu Feng, vice-president of PPM. They spoke highly of the academic value of the book and the significance of its publication in Chinese, the language used by the largest number of people in the world.
