Phoenix library project in Lhasa

Updated: 2015-08-06

On July 21, 2014, Nanjing Phoenix International Bookstore won the bid on a school library project in Lhasa. Phoenix bookstores provided 75,000 books in Chinese and Tibetan, among which 80 percent are from Phoenix publishing houses. All the books were ready to be delivered to Tibet in 10 days.

By Sept 10, the Jiangsu Experimental Middle School in Lhasa had 52,000 new books on its library shelves; with Phoenix helping them catalogue the school’s original 20,000 books in Chinese and 3,000 in Tibetan.

A school faculty member said the books were all officially authorized and clearly classified, and expressed surprise that the job had been done within two months.
