Phoenix science camp
In Janurary, the Phoenix Education Development Co opened a science camp in Nanjing -- it aims to help students explore prehistoric civilization through various activities under the guidance of Hao Jinghua, chief editor of Phoenix Education Publishing’s primary school science textbook division.
The camp had 65 primary-school students, ages 8 – 12, taking part and visiting the Tangshan National Geopark, where they heard a talk on early man and related topics as well as the Qinglong Mountain quarry -- where they learned about and had a chance to dig for fossils.
Phoenix Camp is a new project from Phoenix Education with the goal of bringing primary and middle school students closer to nature and make them more aware of history and society. In the futuer the camp will provide tours around Jiangsu province, or tours to Hong Kong or Taiwan during vacations.
