Chinese publisher meets with Romanian officials
Zhou Bin, President of the Phoenix Publishing and Media Group, headed a delegation to visit Romania at the invitation of Ilfov county officials to discuss digital printing, hotel management, copyright and other related areas.
Zhou introduced the overseas operations of Phoenix, including the acquisition of an American publishing giant last year. He described Phoenix's subsidiaries in Australia, the United Kingdom and other European countries.
He said, "Chinese folklore has it that a phoenix, the inspiration for our name, is a fierce, invincible bird blessed with tremendous traits. Now, with the help of our multifaceted trade and communications, we are closer to living up to that name."
The Romanian hosts spoke about current cooperation, including food festivals and cultural affairs. Based on this, they suggested that cooperation could be expanded into literature, tourism, and a two-way internship program.
During the trip, Zhou also met with the head of Romania's Central College and University Library, the GM of Kodak Israel, a partner of Artground Animation Studio, and representatives of the Serbia Industrial Commerce and Trade Union.
